Brimbank City Council’s Disability Action Plan 2022-2026 concludes at the end of this year.

We are now preparing a new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2027–2029, and we want to hear from people with disability, carers, families, service providers and the broader community.

Your feedback in this first round of engagement will help us understand what is working well, where barriers still exist, and what actions Council should prioritise to create a more inclusive Brimbank.

Background

Under the Disability Act 2006 (Vic), local councils are required to prepare plans that improve access and inclusion for people with disability. Brimbank’s new plan will set priorities and actions to remove barriers, increase participation, and promote equal opportunity across our community. It will also align with Victoria’s broader outcomes framework of the state disability plan. A new state plan is expected in 2027.
