We recently upgraded Simmie Street in Sunshine West by:

• widening the footpath
• planting shade trees, and
• adding safer crossing points.

This improves the safety and amenity for walking to and from the Glengala Road shops.

We will soon begin works to install a public toilet. Its designed to match the existing Glengala Hall building.

The next stage is designing a pocket park at the southern end of Simmie Street. The pocket park will provide:

• a play area for local families, and
• seating and plants to create a pleasant place to sit on the way to and from the local shops.

We have prepared a draft concept for the pocket park and we are keen to get your feedback on the park layout. Take a look at the design below and let us know what you think.
