During the COVID-19 lockdowns many of us have come to appreciate our local streets and roads as more than just a place for cars.

So we want to make sure that Brimbank’s streets of the future are designed and built to meet the needs of people. Whether that’s:

  • walking and cycling
  • exercising
  • socializing
  • shopping
  • dining
  • catching public transport
  • and of course driving.

That's why we are developing a new Creating Streets for People Policy. It will guide future works and upgrades to streets in Brimbank.

We want to know how you think our streets could work better for people.

And by street we mean everything between one property boundary to another, including:

  • the road
  • car parks
  • nature strips
  • footpaths.

Tell us:

  • what else you would like to be able to do on our streets
  • what you love
  • what should be prioritised
  • what could be improved.

We will use your feedback to develop a draft Policy which will be used to guide our street and road upgrades.
