Project Update - 10 October 2022
The time to provide feedback on this consultation has now passed. Thank you to everyone who participated.
We want to hear from you about what Council services and projects are important to you, to help us prioritise funding in the next Annual Budget 2023-2024.
It may feel like we only just asked you this, so why are we asking again already? Planning is underway for the Annual Budget 2023-2024, so we want to hear from you right from the start of the planning process.
Each year the annual budget helps us deliver important services including looking after local roads and drainage, waste collection and disposal and recycling. It also helps us provide community services such as Home and Community Care, recreation and cultural activities, library services and health and wellbeing programs.
The annual budget is a key part of Council’s planning for the future. Using the Council Plan as a road map, the budget sets out funding for Council priorities to build a liveable, inclusive and prosperous community.
Brimbank faces significant funding pressures in a rate-capped environment, so planning future spending on services and programs for our community is critical.
