• Sustainability projects

    $500,000 will enable delivery of a range of sustainability projects, including

    • Land rehabilitation at Sunshine Energy Park and Carrington Drive Reserve
    • Solar panels on sports pavilions
    • Greenhouse gas emission reduction programs in Council buildings
    • Food Organics and Garden Organic (FOGO) program to increase uptake by residents
    • Protective fencing in key grassland reserves
  • Community facilities

    $2.2 million is allocated to the upgrade and maintenance of Council facilities, including

    • Playgrounds in identified children’s facilities
    • Kitchens, heating/cooling, flooring and storage in various community facilities
    • Electrifying Keilor Community Hub and West Sunshine Community Centre
  • Town centres

    $830,000 is committed to improving our town centres, including

    • St Albans and Sunshine town centres
    • Public realm in the Glengala Road Village
    • Public arts projects in various locations
    • Streetscapes for better pedestrian safety and amenity
  • Sports facility upgrades

    $12 million will facilitate improvements and upgrades to Brimbank’s network of sporting facilities, including

    • Green Gully Reserve Oval 2 (access road, car park, sportsground lighting, sports change rooms)
    • Lloyd Reserve, Sunshine – Soccer/Cricket pavilion
    • Lionheart Reserve Tennis Pavillion, Taylors Lakes
    • Sunshine Leisure Centre (outdoor pool liner and start outdoor change rooms)
  • ​Playgrounds, parks and gardens

    $6.3 million for park, skate park, playground and other upgrades, including

    • Suburban Parks
      • Station Waters Reserve, Cairnlea
    • Neighbourhood Parks
      • Shearwater Meadow, Cairnlea
      • Simmie Street, Sunshine West
      • Bellara Crescent, Kealba
    • Local Parks
      • Pindari Avenue, Taylors Lakes Access
      • Cocoparra Crescent Reserve, Taylors Lakes
      • Skate facilities upgrade program
      • Constructing Delahey Dog Park - an off leash dog reserve in Delahey
  • Roads and Footpaths

    $25 million will go towards improving our roads and footpaths, including

    • Road and footpath rehabilitation and upgrade works
    • New roundabouts and road humps in various locations
    • Monitoring the performance and environmental benefit of using crushed recycled glass as road pavement
    • Local cycle route Connect program
