As part of our commitment to providing quality parks and open spaces for the whole community, we’re planning to replace the existing dog park with an enclosed off-leash dog park.
This dog park has been carefully selected as it has 2 street frontages, which is important for access and visibility.
About the concept plan
The plan has been designed to ensure the dog park is an attractive and inviting place for pets and their owners, with plenty of open space and better facilities. It includes:
- a larger run-about area with a separate space for small and shy dogs
- natural rummaging areas
- dog waste dispensers, bins
- all weather surfacing
- drinking fountain
- new landscaping with tree plantings for biodiversity and more shade.
There are requirements we need to meet for fenced off-leash dog parks. The underground services in the park limit the location of:
- fencing
- shelters
- seating.
We want to know what you think about the design. Does it have everything you and your dog need? Did we miss anything?
