Derrimut Street, Albion Upgrade

We are planning cycling and pedestrian improvements to Derrimut Street, Albion. The works will apply to the section between Sydney and Adelaide Streets.

We have created 2 design concepts for the upgrade. Both concepts have been designed to:

improve safety and amenities for pedestrians and cyclists
reduce traffic in the area
create a greener and quieter street for locals.

We want you to review the concept designs and tell us which design option you prefer by using the quick poll.

Option A
Pocket park with bi-directional cycle path at Adelaide Street intersection
Derrimut Street to be one-way southbound only after Lawson Street while allowing bi-directional cycle movement
Raised Zebra crossing is proposed at both Sydney Street and Adelaide Street interfaces
On road shared bi-directional cycle lanes with sharrows on Derrimut Street to north of Lawson Street interface.
Option B
Derrimut Street to be two-way with give way lane to hold northbound traffic at the approach of Lawson Street
Raised Zebra crossing is proposed at Adelaide Street interface
On-road shared cycle lanes with sharrows highlighting bidirectional cycle movements are proposed on Derrimut Street.
