Construction works to modify Simmie Street are now complete.

Planning is now underway for the pocket park space that has been created and the installation of the public toilet is planned for 2023.

Improvement works are planned for Simmie Street, West Sunshine. The works will improve the safety

and amenity of pedestrians walking to and from the Glengala Road shops and will include;

  • traffic calming measures
  • safe crossing points
  • wider footpaths
  • seating
  • shade trees
  • pocket park for the community to enjoy.


    • The location of a public toilet in this part of the shopping village is also being investigated. This project is part of the West Sunshine 20 Minute Neighbourhood Pilot project.
